IBF world lightweight champion Richard Commey has received a brand New Toyota Corolla from the Jubilee House in fulfillment of a promise made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Commey’s customised car was presented to him by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Perry Okudzeto at a short ceremony held at the forecourt of the Accra Sports Stadium Wednesday.
The President earlier this month gifted Commey a cash prize of GH?50,000 and ordered the ministry to get him a “a nice Toyota car” following his victory against Russia’s Isa Chaniev in February.

The 32 year old lightweight champion won the President’s admiration after paying him a courtesy call at the Jubilee House to present the title he won against Chaniev.
Commey won the world title after 28 fights, knocking down Isa Chaniev three times before stopping him in the second round.
