The launch for this year’s Ghana-Jamaica Homecoming Festival was held yesterday, Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Accra Tourist Information Centre, Accra, after a long break due covid-19 pandemic.
It had in attendance some key personalities, industry players, and musicians including Nii Osabu Akwei I (Chief of Sowutuom and Mpese Royal Family), Abeiku Santana, Epixode, BullDog, Sammy Flex, Mr Logic, Mr Root Eye, Friction, Osagyefo among others.
This year’s Ghana-Jamaica Homecoming Festival (Ghana meets Jamaica) is scheduled for August 3, 2022 to August 16, 2022, seeks to identify and align the two countries as a gateway within their respective regional blocks and geared towards the promotion of music, tourism, sports, culture, business and investment, giving the historical relationship between the two countries.
The Festival is set to climaxed with a massive concert in Kingston, Jamaica and will feature performances from some of the best Reggae/Dancehall artistes from both countries.
The Ghana-Jamaica Homecoming Festival, inspired by the YEAR OF RETURN, Ghana 2019 initiative by the Ghana Government seeks to identify and align with Jamaica as a gateway to the Caribbean countries and vice versa.
The event organized by Broadway Entertainment and Dada Son Entertainment in partnership with Kaya Tours Ghana.
