Coronavirus cases in Ghana have increased to 2,074 with 212 recoveries and 17 deaths, the Ghana Health Service has reported on on Thursday, April, 30, 2020..
Ghana has recorded some 403 more Coronavirus cases bringing the country’s tally to 2,074
According to Information available on the Ghana Health Service website, recoveries from the virus is now 212 while death has gone up to 17.
Greater Accra, Ashanti and Eastern Region still remain the regions with the highest number of cases with some 1,795, 99 and 70 cases respectively.
In the rest of the Regions, Central Region has 21 cases, Oti Region and Upper East Regions have 19 cases each, Volta has 16, Northern 13, Upper West 10 and Western 9.
Regional breakdown
The Greater Accra region still leads with the highest number of positive cases, followed by the Ashanti and Eastern Region.

Global situation
Coronavirus continues to spread across the world, with more than three million confirmed cases in 185 countries and some 200,000 deaths.
Figures collated by the John Hopkins University show that the US has the largest number of cases and the world’s highest death toll. It has so far confirmed one million infections with nearly 60,000 fatalities.
The UK, Spain, Italy and France which have all recorded more than 20,000 deaths, are the worst-hit European countries
The virus was initially detected in Wuhan, a city in China, in late 2019.
